Baby sugar pie pumpkins on the vines and lots more blooms with very busy bees, hopefully this heat and drought will break soon, we have had just one day with a small shower since April this year and it is getting worse.  We have broken all records from this century and the last and are now breaking heat records from the 1890's.

This much heat for so long has made for a very rough year, financially, mentally, emotionally and most especially physically.  Now it is September, and Fall cannot be that far off!  Next year will be better, just get ready to enjoy it....

That's the rub, getting ready.  A lot of hard work getting ready, compost, turning gardens, hardest of all is the cactus cleaning that looking like it will last me the rest of my life!  Well I will never be bored will I?????
